THE METEOR
II
The Ole Astrologer
As the Reusens fog clears away,
the Ole Astrologer once more focuses his magic eyeballs on the cooler class of '55 and the Fat Man.
Another black cloud comes rolling in. It's beboping Baahton eeling onto the old 160 raring to go. The Ole Astrologer follows him around and gets all the lowdown on the local hoods.
A strange sight has dazzled all V. E. S. A hard cat, eight feet tall, was seen eeling around. If Garnett were back, he would recognize him. However, Rico is missing, so t h e mystery is solved. He has come out of his hole for the funeral. The fabul- ous Fat Man and Punk have cried their little chartreuse eyeballs out since the gangland war on the hill.
Turner and Keefer are waging a war for Flo's attention. Keefer has the upper hand now, but Turner is pushing hard. She has but one com- ment, "they're both so sweet and pretty that I can't decide."
A loud noise was heard coming from a black '50 Ford. "Farinholt's good, Farinholt's t he best," is the cry. Who is uttering the call? You guessed it! Ace has finally given us a break and admitted he's great.
Five cool eels seen slithering into chapel after a trip to they only know where. But they haven't played it cool enough. The Bells has spotted them and each picked up a nice four.
A loud whining noise is heard com- ing down V. E. S. Road. It's in low, now and is slammed. Wham, @-&, and a junkyard makes a haul. Lush is seen carrying .a broom and dust pan in order to clean the mess up.
From out of a big Caddie comes the whisper of, "Goat Man please take off your braces," The reply is "get it, boy."
From the "Club Harris" in 3rd West comes the beautiful and romantic song of "Please Driver," and seen sneaking off in the corner with an eely grin is cool, calm, and collected Cowper. But he seems to be cut somewhat.
Birdman is seen testing his wings out of 2nd Main East. He claims he can make it to the "new roost" now without taking a few pines with him.
The Ole Astrologer's care worn eyeballs need some rest; so he thumbs his way to his favorite bed in the Milky Way, humming the new song he learned from Rico.
