THE EVENING LENTEN SERVICES
This yeM, V. E. S. is celebrating the Lenten season by having services every school night Monday through Friday. These services last for ap- proximately ten minutes.
The students perform the service. Each boy has a chance to be accolyte and to perform one of three services.
These are the Litany, Family Prayer, and Evening Prayer.
The services are attended volun- tarily by the students. So far the results have been very encouraging. Almost all the students are taking some sort of role in these services.
The boys who read the service re- ceive instructions from Mr. Hester, who goes over the service with them sometime during the day. That night the students are on their own and have done a very fine job with their conducting of services.
