The Bishops jumped t o an early 3-0 lead in several pass balls and three singles. This lead held until the bottom of the fifth inninq when Glass jumped into the lead 4-3. Two more runs in the sixth seemly put the game out of reach. But the Bishops were going down fighting . In the last inning after scoring two runs, they had men on first and third.
But Glass sent in Herb Duff, their top hurler, and he struck out the last man.
Cunningham got 2 hits to lead the Bishops attack. Dale Carter started and was relieved by Jim Dillon for the Bishops.
