BISHOPS TROMP SAINTS IN FINAL TRACK MEET
Although rain came down tn buckets for a great portion of the meet, it failed to dampen the spirit of the Bishops as they posted a con- vincing 68 0 t o 44;1.! victory over their arch rival Saint Christopher's.
George Ross, who returned to the cinders after a leg injury forced him out of action, and Lee Mastin, the pint-sized star in the dashes, scored 28 points between them .
Ned Bonfoey, V. E. S.'s answer to John Landy, captured the mile in an extremely fast 5:03 minutes after many disheartening second places in previous meets.
R.Jb', Nash also turned in his be:;t time of the year by winning the 440 in 53.5 seconds. Ernie Banks, the jack of all trades, gave everyone a thrill and also ran a good race in the 440.
This meet concluded a very suc- cessful season against top-flight com- petition and the record stands at 3 and 3.
