MASSENGALE RETURNS FOR FINALS DANCE
fhe Finals Dance, climaxing the social e v e n t s o f 1958-59, was held Friday night in the William King Field House, with Burt Massengale's orchestra providing the music, and vtith decorations furnished by the Hop Committee, under the direction of Mr. L. E. Lunsford.
The orchestra had been favorably r':lceived at the dance last year, and was invited back by popular demand. Tr.e dance got under way at 8:30 p. rn., with dancing unti l intermission, a i which time refres hm ents were served to the members of the stu- C!::nt body and their guests.
The gymnasium was tastefully clecorated in green and pink, with the area for spectators divided from the dance floor by tall white col- :.~mns. The central motif was a huge lioh1 fixture filled with balloons, which was broken at the end of the oar.ce to mark the close of the last social event at V.E.S. for the class of '59. Shortly after intermission, a Senior figure, featuring members of the Senior Class, and their dates, was presented, a nd each senior was presented to the student body.
