awarded his letter in the second year; as sports editor of the Meteor; as VESTIGE photographer, and as one of the two official school photog- raphers. Also, it might be noted that he had a major role in the creation of the present baseball field and has given many hours selflessly to paint- ing the school's track.
During the off seasons before baseball practice, Dick enjoys build - ing his torso by weightlifting regular- ly. Throughout the year he finds pleasure in playing his guitars in preparation for the holidays and a chance to play the lead guitar for his combo, The Sunsetters of Kinston. He and his group have attained such proficiency that they have been of- fered the chance to play for the New Y ear's Eve celebration party being sponsored by the famed Sheep's Club of Rocky Mount via v. E. s.
Upon graduation from V. E. S., Dick aspires to attend either U.N.C. or Davidson and study law or engineering.
