Stuart Barnes and Mary Carter live on Rt. I, Buchanan, Va. Stu is a lawyer in Fincastle, Va. They have two children, Stuart Dale, who gradu- ated from V.E.S. in 1959 and is now at V.P.L, and Mary Shelly. Stu has been prominent in State Democratic politics for many years, having been in the House of Delegates and the State Senate. In Botetourt County, he has been Chairman of the Elec- toral Board and the Board of Super- visors. He also has a good fish pond that has turtles in it. He attended
