Hugh, the Mountain Man, is an authentic veteran of VES. For half a decade, he has won and held the respect and ad- miration of his masters and fellow students by excelling in academics and in athletics, as well as finding time to be a friend to every boy in the school. With his good looks and rockin' attitude, he has also whipped-out the young hearts of women from Maryland to Arkansas.
Hugh is a member of the Hop Committee and, over the past two years, he has spent many hours in preparation for the famed Academy rock-outs. He is also a member of the Vestige staff.
Athletically, Hugh is never idle. In the fall he served as a cheerleader for the mighty Bishops, After football season, he became a member of the Varsity baseball team. During the course of any year, Hugh can be expected to be a real threat to opposing teams and a real treat for the women.
After graduation Hugh plans to return to the great land of West Virginia and attend The University of West Virginia to study business.
Hugh will always be remembered by his masters as an exceptional student, by his colleagues as the "head juker," and by the Lynchburg women as their "gift."
