T. Barker Dameron, Head Counselor, and Neal Partrick, head of the Honor Committee, hold two important positions in the school.
A typical counselor meeting finds George Crapps, Neal Partrick, Charlie Mahan, Rip Wilson, Parker Lumpkin, Bill Pully, T. Barker Dameron, Bob Peterson, Frank Millikan, Fielding Jones, Gray Murray, Hunt Taylor, Steve Johnson, and Chip Penick puzzling over their problems on dorm.

Leadership In School
With T. Barker Dameron and Neal Partrick serving
as Head Counselor and Head of the Honor Committee, respectively, the members of these two groups accomplished very much for V.E.S.
in the realm of student government. Besides ascertaining that student opinion was voiced
by means of the All School Council and seeing that school government functioned properly,
the counselors performed their traditional duties:
taking charge of their dorms and giving up
their once free time to assist masters-in-charge
daily and on weekends.
The Honor Committee, consisting of Neal Partrick T. Barker Dameron, Weldon Huske,
Bill Pully, and Steve Johnson, also
carried out its responsibilities to the school by instructing each student <:.:HlCerning the operation
of the Honor System and acting in any situC}tion in which lying, cheating or stealing were involved.
