The Hop Committee Provides Many Happy Hours
109
The Hop Committee
combined various talents
to provide V.E.S. with many happy hours. Arrangements were made for formal dances and mixers, and many good bands were procured.
The committee members created
several new and interesting decorations
for the social events
that were held in the King Field House.
Chairman Bob Peterson
and Social Director Bertrand Hudnall,
as well as other committee members,
sold hamburgers
to finance better dances
and in doing so,
they sacrificed much leisure time
in giving V.E.S.
exciting dance highlights.
Bob Peterson and Mr. Hudnall look at a list of available entertainment. Good bands for V.E.S. dances was the result.
Hop Committee: standing, Hunt Taylor, Garland Harper, Edmond Badham, and Ehrich Thomas. Sitting: Robert Deatherage, Jim Kluttz, Chip Penick, Charlie Johnson, Cac Hoyle, Lee Hasty, and Baron Currin. They worked tirelessly to prepare the gym for the dances.
