Blair Thurman adds a note of music to The World of Carl Sandburg.
Winter Play Is 11World Of Carl Sandburg"
"The World of Carl Sandburg,"
a reading directly from his works and life,
was performed by the V.E.S. Drama Society.
Staged for Fathers Weekend in February,
this drama met wide acclaim as being perhaps the best production of the V.E.S. playmakers.
A tale of Sandburg's life and his philosophies,
the play viewed the world
from what Sandburg saw
to be the influencing factors
in the lives of his fellow men.
Linda McGill, Clay Lashley, Blair Thurman,
Tom Manning, and Steve Felker
comprised the cast.
Each depicted the myriad insights
of Sandburg and created depthful characters through interpretive drama.
Linda McGill, Tom Manning, Clay Lashley, Steve Felker, David Smythe, and Blair Thurman, performing one of the many songs.
