Dayboy Contributions Strengthen School Life
Dayboys - an often forgotten· and underestimated minority within the school - yet one that adds to all phases of school life . and brings V.E.S. a little closer to Lynchburg. Academically, there were about one-fourth of the twenty-seven day students on the Honor Roll each grading period. Some also took part in extracurricular activities, and athletes like Allen Hamblen and Tim Sullivan always gave Bishop fans something to cheer about. In addition to their participation in everyday school life, the dayboys contributed that extra something that relieved the day to day monotony in each boarder's life.
