Ben Campbell, Bill Hill, and Oliver Crawley show confidence in knowing that the cosine is the reciprocal of the secant.
Logical Reasoning And Concepts Emphasized
By The Math Department
Under the leadership of Mr. Hebberger and Mr. Lee, the Mathematics Department continued the fine course of study which has made it so effective in the past. Although no actual change was made in the curriculum, the traditional stress on concepts and logical reasoning provided the necessary preparation for college math. Cooperating with Messrs. Hebberger and Lee in lower training levels, Mr. Lynch and Mr. Moore also employed programs in which the development of methodical analysis was emphasized
rather than just the solution of a problem.
David Smythe seems perplexed as he looks over proof in Mr. Lynch's geometry class.
Several analysis students appear deep in thought as they attempt to prove a particularly difficult identity.
