Despite Shaky Start,
A Successful Season
Becomes Reality
Though capable
in every department, the basketball team
experienced difficulties in the early part
of the season. They opened up with
a very encouraging victory over
a talented alumni team, but three of the next four games were against the two strongest opponents,
Holy Cross and Collegiate.
Yet despite these early disappointments,
the Bishops bounced back to defeat teams such as Woodberry Forest and William Campbell,
and they were able to complete the season successfully.
