Frosh Show Progress In Working Together
In a five game season, the freshmen showed more potential than has been seen in several years. The team fielded many individual stars, but failed to function well
as a unit. Troubled by organizational problems, the freshmen lost their first two games by the score of 38-0. They bounced back, however, holding the Blue Ridge "farmers" to 18 points and collected 6 points for themselves. Despite a record with no wins, Coaches McGill and Little thought the year was a formative one. "The boys gained a lot of experience and showed progress in working together. After all, that's the real purpose of freshman football." remarked Coach Little.
