as a major strength, which has been "good and consistent." This is exemplified by Carl Danbury, who has a .17 ERA and a 9-0 record, and Paul Holmes, with a 3-1 record. He also cited good hitting and good defense. When talking about the hitting, Meador mentioned the team has had six players batting solidly over .300 (Danbury .500, Grieves .438, Glascock .421, Sankovich .353, Ted Robertson .345, and Holmes .333). Senior Paul Feinman and sophomore Ross Lynde have been the backbone of the attack with help from junior Rob

The defense, which suffers from inexperience, has improved since the beginning of the season and should improve as the season progresses. Sophomore Bert Kemper, senior Jim Hunter, junior Jay Irons, junior Bob Bowden, and senior T om Gathright share the defensive spots and with work should mature toward the end of the season .
