Bishops rejoice after hard (ought victory over St. Chris
.'
BY jA Y
Coach Max Meador has gotten
his team off to a good start. Even though the Jayvees lost their first game to Carlisle 20-0 they have
been coming back strong. On October 8 Coach Meador's team played Manchester and tied them. Manchester has a big team but the Jayvees really held their own. Then on October 15 the Jayvees traveled up to Fork Union, Va. and beat them 12-6.
In the Manchester game the offensive standouts were R ob Craighill who had a spectacular 75 yard run for a touchdown. John Mays then went to the air to Hal Jackson for the other
touchdown. Mays then ran successfully for the two point conversion. This made the final score 14-14.
