THE METEOR
February 22,
A severe ice stoma the weekend of January 19-21 had left in it's wake a vista of downed power line and stricken trees. After many short power flashes, the
lights went out the night of the twentieth and were not restored until late the next night.
While many trees and several other objects, such as the Jenkin 's car and Mark Glascock's skull, received varying amounts of damage, due to the sensible behaviour by most of VES students further serious mishap was avoided. An enjoyable time was had by many during this "Winter Weekend." A vote of thanks goes also to Mr. Danz and the kitchen staff for continuing to provide regular meals even without the benefit of electricity .

In recent months, Mr. Ainslie ha become especially fond of journeying to places like Miami and Las Vegas, taking with him a slide presentation designed to coax contributors into the VES
fold. Mr. Ainslie enjoys relating how the photographer, who initially didn't want anything to do with VES, went away loving it (he i now beingde-programmed on a faJtu in upstate Vennont).
