The VES Mathematics Department offers every student at school a challenging curriculum. Included in the course offerings are calculus, geometry, analy- sis, trigonometry, algebra, general math, and comput- erscience. With the addition ofsix"Apple" computers last year, the math department has begun to inter- grate the computers throughout the entire school cur- riculum; programs are being written for other depart- ments such as Foreign Language and Science. Those students who excell in math are encouraged to com- pete in mathematics and computer contests. The de- partment is chaired by Mr. Rock Lee; he is assisted by Mrs. Mike Berry, Mr. Graham Hudgins and newcom- ers Mr. Jeff Ross and Mrs. Jim Arnold.
