Most of the time this is said because people do not know anything about events that have happened in the past. History is a subject
'that VES wants it's student to have plenty of knowledge about. When one of the VES graduates becomes president and makes a mistake that a president in the past has made, we knowledge want to blame it on the fact that they were poorly taught about their country's past! Now if you asked the history teachers here what the greatest presidential mistakes have been. Mr. Leake

Mrs. Farmer, Mrs. Burruss, Mr. Bright, Mr. Smith
would most likely respond by saying Bill Clinton. Mr. Bright, i f asked this question, would immediately say George Bush. The teachers can present information to their students, and not only will the student hear it, and write it down, but they will know it for the rest of their lives. Although some teachers may have more focus on certain aspects of history, such as an interest in the history of Russia, or the Vietnam War, every teacher in the history department contributes something great, making the students' knowledge of history great as well.
