 FAITH, VALUES, AND REFLECTION
An Episcopal school with a pastoral commitment to all, St. Albans welcomes students of all faiths and respects the religious beliefs of all members of the diverse school community.
Since St. Albans’ founding, the boys and their teachers have gathered for chapel in the Little Sanctuary to worship, reflect, and learn. Chapel services provide a welcome break in the day when students can clear their heads and reflectonGodandmorality.Theideaspresentedinchapelcarryweight because the homilies are not lectures, but reflections shared by peers. During chapel, students learn about their friends and teachers — and themselves. Chapel services and religion classes engage the big questions in life,
meeting boys where they are in their spiritual development: Who am I? What makes for a good life? What gives my life meaning?
St. Albans provides space for each student to explore questions of faith, to experience ritual and worship, to grow spiritually, and to be part of a faith community so that they are curious about the world and ultimately find expression for their calling as it relates to promoting goodness and serving others.

Upper School chapel talks I heard in

“At St. Albans, I not only came to understand the value
of other religions, I learned
the value of my own.”
