Endowment FUNDS

AT SAINT EDWARD’S SCHOOL

The Saint Edward’s School endowment builds the foundation for long-term stability and success; allowing the school to
enhance our educational programs, provide financial aid assistance, fund faculty professional development, and support
faculty compensation and benefits.
One of the imperatives of the School’s current strategic plan is to increase the endowment to support financial aid and
faculty compensation. As of June 30, 2016, the total market value of the School’s endowment was $9,023,549. This is an
80 percent increase over the value of the endowment at the end of the 2012 school year. This increase is due to a
concerted fundraising effort by the School and to the enduring generosity of the Saint Edward’s community. A total draw
of $267,006 from the endowment was used to support the 2015-2016 operating budget.

NEW ENDOWMENT FUNDS

Three endowment funds were added this year:

The Chiarenza Family Endowed Scholarship Fund, established by Thomas and Anne Marie Chiarenza;
The J.M. Hopwood Charitable Trust Endowed Scholarship, established by Susan Hopkins, Sandy Kahle
and Nancy Luther; and
The Motto Entrepreneur Program Endowment, established by Pam and Dave Motto.

The Pyles Family Endowed Scholarship Fund, established in 2015 by grandparents Susan and David Pyles.
