On October J 5th we journeyed to Lexington, and the1·e de- feated Shenandoah Valley Academy 14-0. Tho game was tense and interesting throughout, bnt, excPpt at tbe very bo- ginning, we showed a marked superiority over the "Blue and
White" eleven. S. V. A. received the hall at the start and advanced it to our 10-yard line. Tiere they were halted and thustheironerealchanceforscoringwasthrownaway. We crossed our opponents' 1i110 in the first quarter w~en, after several line plunges and off-tackle plays had deposited the
oval on S. V. A.'s 5-yard line, Loth went through for the touchdo>vn. Buckner kicked goal. ·we scored again in the third period when Lee scooped up a Shenandoah fumble and raced forty yards for a touchdown. Buckner again kicked
goal.
Shenandoah was lmable to check the driving gains made by
our backfield men, while on tho other hand, our opponents
