At this occasion the Bishop preached on 1 Chronicles, 2!> :5.
At this time it was also arrangeJ that the boys who were contemplating the ministry should be the Bishop's guests in Roanoke on April 11. Some twenty boys made the trip and report a pleasant and inspiring meeting. The interest which is being displayeJ in the ministry is a remarkable tribute to
the effctiYe work of the spiritual directors of the school, Dr. Pendleton and :Mr. Gwathmey. To the latter's untiring ef- forts is credit to be gi.>en for this year's confirmation class, the largest in our history.
The following boys ha'\C averaged more than !JO per cent for the Easter term, and are, therefore, on the honor roll of the school: Cobbs, Cuthbert, Forsyth, K., Houghton, Hud-
nall, H., Rogers, :M., and \Yilsou, S.
The boys_who follow ha,·e made an average of 85 per cent
or more, and are given honorable mention: Ball, Beasley, R., Bryson, Chilton, Crockett, Douthat, Dunn, Forsyth, II., Hunter, Johnston, MacBlain, Payne, Rogers, R., Thornhill,
Warwick, Wilson, C.
The following passed all their subjects for the term, and
also made all their examinations: Ball, Beasley, R., Bryson, Chilton, Cobbs, Crockett, Cuthbert, Dance, Douthat, Dunn, Forsyth, H., Forsyth, K., Ilitchcock, Iloughton, Howard Hudnall, H., Hunter, Johnston, MacBlain, Payne, Rogers, M., Rogers, R., Warwick, West, and Wilson, S.
Linehan, Polkinghorne, Thornhill, and Wilson, C., passed all their examinations, but did not make aU their subjects
for the term.
Echols, Ellett, Harrison, and Woodward passed on all
subjects, but not on all examinations.
