Thursday, :March 16, Bishop Darst, of East Carolina, con- ducted services in the Langhorne }.femorial Chapel, using as his text: St. J olm, 5 :4-5.
Pierce, ~[onroe, and Sheild were forced to leave school before the examinations because of ill health 1·esulting from overwork. We are very glad that they have been able to return.
nfarch lV, Mr. Beach went to Charlottesville for the week- end. On the same date the editor of this column stopped with friends at t1Je University, and much to his relief fotmd the school still here upon his return.
\Yednesday :March 23, school closed for Easter vacation.

Saturday, April 3, Dr. Pendleton announced the appoint- ment of W. R. Duke to the honors of counselorship. You just can't keep a good man down.
