the final whistle. Time and again the spectators were thrilled by a ~eusational catch 01· a long shot. Indeed, the lllu::t noticeable feanrre of the game wa~ that very nearly all uf the field goals were made from the middle of the floor or from some difficult angle.
The first lull£ wa:; plainly the Freshmen's. They bad scored five points before we 1.-:new what we were about, their ~hooting was superior to ours, and their fioor work was some- thing of a shade better also. The result was that at tho end of the first half we were trailing the Little Generals by five points.
However, in the second period we came back strong and we were soon struggling neck to neck with the Blue and White tossers. Towards the end of this half the game reached its most tense point, first one team and then the other gaining a small short-lived lead. Lee's long shot from the middle of the floor in the final thirty seconds of play afforded a thrill- ing finish to this nerve-straining contest.
