Oct. 19-The powerful Woodber-
ry Forest Tiqers outscored the V. E. S. Bishops 49 to 7 in their homecom- inC" qamc on Johnson Field.
The hard-fighting Bishops held the Tigers scoreless for the first quarter, but Woodberry displayed too much power and reserve strength for the V. E. S. eleven.
Dean Davidson, big All-Southern back, starred for the winners, scor- ing three of their touchdowns, one on on 80-yard run, and another after o 70 yard runback of an intercepted pass. Also scoring for the Tiqers were Bland Wilson, Tul lis, and Re~­ ninq.
Captain Jim Ballou was outstand- ing for the Bishops, both on the de- fensive and the offensive. He scored the only V. E. S. touchdown in the second quarter when he snagged o short pass from Allen on his forty and ran sixty yards for the score. Flemer kicked the extra point, mak- ing the score 14 to 7. The Tigers camebacktobuildupa27to7lead by half-time.
Woodberry topped off its attack with three more touchdowns in the second half.

The Bishops fought back for their lone score in the second quarter when Perrin Gower went over from the I yard line to climax o 60 yard YES drive. The drive started when Gower intercepted a Fishburne pass on his 19 and carried to his 40. From there the Bishops rolled t o their only score. The half ended with Fish- burne leading 12 to 6.
The Bishops threatened twice in the last half, driving to the Fishburne 20 both times, but here the Cadets held. Fishburne scored their last six points in the final minutes of the game on another pass to Carver, Cadet end.

The Junior Varsity seasons are well under way, with the 120-pound team making a strong bid for the City Championship. The 130 - pounders have not fared as well as their smaller teammates, winning only one game in six s t a r t s , b u t t h e y h a v e shown definite signs of improvement as the season progressed, losing some hard- fought games.
The 120-pound team at present boasts the best record in the City League competition, having won four out of five games for an average of .800. The Rivermont team, which handed the Baby Bishops their only defeat so far, is giving them a hard fight for the Championship la.;rels.

Oct. 26-Fishburne Military School scored two touchdowns in the first quarter ond went on to hond the visiting Bishops an 18 to 6 de- feat on the Cadet's field at Waynes- boro.
The Cadets got off to o qood start when they scored on a long pass from Reed to Carver in their first play from scrimmage. The home team added another score just be- fore the firstJeriod was over. The Cadets score their second marker when Stratford passed from the YES
