BIO-X-RAY
William Frederick Low, Jr.
Born: November 5, 1930.
Home: Williamsburg, Virginia (the home of enchanted and beautiful CJals! Mainly Dale).
Pet Love: Dale (for the love of Pete, Yes!)
Favorite Expression: "Aw, come on, Widdie!"
Usually Seen: Trying to make the school store into a profitable business (profitable both for the school ond, ah-er!)
Greatest Concern: His daddy's Latin class.
"Bill" has graced the halls of our domain for two years. He has made quite a name for himself as the big- gest gyp in the school store. He has done very well scholastically and ath- letically. He was the blocking back on the 135-lb. team and for the rest of the year, an officer on the "Weed" team. He keeps the boys on Third W est jumping with his stupid remarks. If you take away his untimely attri- butes he is a very well liked guy.
Hugh Crichton Edsall
Born: For the sole and expressed purpose of running the school store.
Home: Raleigh, North Carolina. Pet Love: A passionate woman. Pet Hate: People who interrupt
his meditative typing.
Nickname: "Edstein."
Sparetime Occupations: Trying to outdo Mr. Bonk's inventions.
Favorite Food: It hasn't been sold at the store yet!
Favorite Sport: Track (big joke, he says!)
Greatest Concerns: The contents of Jackson's letters.
This is Hugh's second year at our "Hall of Geniuses," and he has truly shown us that he is an outstanding pupil, for he has stood among the top on the scholastic standing list since he has been here. This year he is one of the co-managers of the school store, where we eat as a last resort. Though he is a short fella' he made good in track last year, and great things are expected of him this year, despite his complaining. Hugh is well liked by the entire student body, and as it has been said, "A lit- tle man casts a great shadow!" (quote
'Stymie.")
William Temple Withers (Horsey) Fennell
Born: In the same hospital that Carty was born in. (Oh, no!)
Home: Lynchburg, Virginia.
Pet Love: A lass at Stuart Hall. Pet Hate: Boys who invite her to
V. M. I. dances.
Customary Expression: "Stop it,
Low! "
Usually Seen: Trying to convince
people that Kentucky is better than
Virgin(ia).
Favorite Pastime: Being "male"
boy. (Well, I should think so!!)
Fennell has been here at V. E. S. for four long years and this is his
last (sob, sob). He has made a bril- liant record in his studies and was a letterman on the 120-lb. city cham- pionship football team last year. He was a hard worker in track last year but because he is the school chauffeur and hack driver he will not be able to participate in sports of any nature (except one!) this year. "Widdie" is one of the lucky boys who lives in Lynchburg (the city of beautiful wom- en). He is a very popular fella' and a credit to our school.
Stuart Horsely Harris (Hais)
Born: Yes! And he's still here (Plague take it!)
Home: Lynchburg, Virginia.
Pet Love : Anything in a skirt.
Pet Hate: Boys who hand in their
Meteor articles late.
Sparetime Occupation: Displaying
his masculine attributes.
Ambitions: To equal Justice's rec-
ord as a football player and become "All American."
best to show the "Goats" a good time. As editor of The Meteor he plans to bring our school paper fame and fortune at the S. I. P. A. Con- vention this year. Stuart is a very popular guy and an enjoyable ac- quaintance. We'll all say "so, long" to a swell fella' this year.
Thomas Nelson Waller
Born: You wouldn 't know it!
Home: Lynchburg, most of the time.
Pet Love: Mary Steve (of course). Pet Hate: Women in general. Ambition: Go wild in an ABC
store!
Usually Seen: Staggering in with the morning "News."
Customary Expression: " Kender, come here!"
Favorite Pastime: You guessed it.
This is "Tom's" second year at the old institute, where he has made a good record for himself. He is one of the three boys who do their best to cheer the "Bishop's to victory." He is doing well in his studies. This year he is doing a swell job filling the position of business manager on The Meteor staff. He keeps the morale of the boys up around school with his jokes and witticisms (corny or not). (Some like 'em clean but we like 'em - .) Tom is a very interesting fellow around our campus. Mr. Banks notes him for his off-key singing in the V. E. S. choir. He is liked a lot around here (especially by the girls).

Favorite Sport: Football or a rea- sonable facsimile thereof.
Greatest Desire: To head back for Lexington (the early bird gets the worm).
"Stu" has been a day student at our humble bode for two years, this being his second. This year he is a counselor. He made an excellent showing for himself on the gridiron this year excelling as the Bishops' ace center. Above all he outdoes all scholastically. Last year he stood top on the list of scholastic standings and has done so thus far this year. He is also a Varsity Club member doing his
