surgeon, U. S. Air Forces, has been promoted from the rank of captain to that of major.
1941
The engagement of Miss Katherine Patterson, to Chiswell D. Langhorne Perkins, was recently announced.
1942
Frank Erwin McManus will marry Miss Elizabeth Nicholson of Durham, early next summer.
It has been learned through recent letters that the following V. E. S. Alumni have died. The Meteor extends to their families and friends its heartfelt sym- pathy.
