Mac dropped in three years ago, from one of the smaller villages of North Carolina, and has made him- self one of the most popular boys on the 160 acres. He is expected to be one of the main sprinters on the track team this year. MacDoniel hos also, throughout his stay, kept a high scho- lastic standing and his name can very often be found on the day study out list.
Our Southern gentlemon will jour- ney to U. N. C . next September. Be- lieve me, it will be a sad place with- out him next year.

Horace came to V. E. S. 2 years ago and since that time has made a· great name for himself. Besides be- ing one of the most popular boys in school, he is a counselor, in the V- Club and has 2varsity letters. Quite a man about town, here in Lynchburg, we expect Horace to do very well down in the Old North State next year.

" Brrrrrr!" exclaimed the
trologer as he chipped the ice off his old telescope and pointed it earth- ward . However it's hard to detect earth for the snow and sleet. The first place to catch his eye is none other than "Ye Ole Igloo West Dorm." And peering through the frost covered window he sees none other than Britt and Cockerille team- ing up for the figure eight as they ice skate to the lav.
But what's this? There seems to be steam rolling out of the gym-why, it's just "Little Ed" and his hot band, and on the floor is none other than Miss Clark doing a mean Cho rleston as the air "swells" with the enlighten- ing voice of a Nick-Ting-Gale.
Suddenly hearing a thump on a table and a voice ring out, the old Ast rologer moves his gaze just in time to catch the beginning of some of the debates,-1 tell you Alaska shall become a state-Farmer pleads for his opponents to leave his horse alone -Creasy's debate opened the way
