A highly improved Brookville High School team returned to King Me- -norial Gymnasium and gave the Bish- ops quite a scare before losing by a 41-40 score. The spirited and very aggressive "Bees" put up a very tight man-to-man defense and kept the fast breaking V. E. S. offense pretty well stolled.
The half-time score was 26-24 in V. E. S.'s favor, with the Bishop's foul shooting largely responsible. During the 2nd half the score was tied 9

The J u n i o r
the first game at Bedford have lost three consecutive contests. They took a 45-24 decision over the Bed- ford JV's there. Captain Brant Snave- ly scored 26 points. The next two contests were with Guggenheimer's and Miller Park in the City League. They lost to Guggenheimer's 29-23 and Miller Park was an easy victor over them. The last game played so far, was lost to the Bedford JV's, with almost on entirely different squad against the Bishops. The game was played here and we lost 51-29. Snave- ly was high scorer for the day with 14 points. The JV's, although not off to a good start, should do much bet- ter in the future.
