Nick arrived at V. E. S. three years
ago and has since established an enviable record. The son of an alum- nus, Nick was elected Head-Counselor for this year and a member of the Honor Committee. George was also one of last year's counselors and a member of the "V" Club. Nick has lettered in varsity football, twice in varsity track and in J. V. basketball. He was a co-captain of last year's track outfit and was recently elected co-captain of the football team. His interests have not been confined to track, however. He serves in the chapel services aside from academic and athletic chores. In this his last year Nick should continue to set the pace. When we lose the congenial boy from Charlottesville we'll not only lose a great athlete but a terrific boy
as well.

A von, Virginia sent us Fred four years ago and since then "Fritz" has left a lasting impression. In this, his' second year as a counselor, Fred has been near the top of the honor roll every month. He holds the senior scholarship medal and a second prize in the junior scholarship prizes, which shows that he'll graduate with honors. Fred shows his versatility in having lettered twice in Varsity baseball. He will also play a lot of football this cominq season. Tops among the boys,
Fred devotes part of his little spare time to driving the school truck. Our hats are off to one of the finest boys ever to enter the halls of V. E. S. May the best of everything be yours al- ways, Fred.

In beginning his fifth year at V. E. S.
"Son'' has stood out both as a scholar and as an athlete. Sonny has peren- nially been a favorite of the student body. We are happy to say that Sam is serving on this year's Honor Committee and is a member of the counselor body for the second straight year. He has also proved his prowess on the athletic field having lettered twice in varsity football and track and once in varsity basketball. " Pad- dock" is an officer of the "V" Club and a co-captain of this fall's football team. As a scholar, Sonny has been on the study-out list consistently since his arrival. It will be a dark day when we find our boy Sam has left us. We can only say, "Best of luck always to a swell guy."
