On February 25th, Mr. Gannaway went to Roanoke to organize the Alumni of that area . The meeting was held in the Parish House of St. John's Episcopal Church. The Rev. Richard Beasley, an Alumnus of the school, is Rector of that church. Dick had arranged for the meeting but was unexpectedly called out of the city and could not attend. A very enthusiastic group of A lumni a t ten- ded the meeting and all enjoyed talking over old times at V.E.S. with Mr. Gannaway.
Cameron Wiley, Jr., of Salem was elected President, James M. Satter- fi ei:J of Roanoke was elected Vice- President and Thomas A. Scott, Jr. was e Ie c ted Secretary-Treasurer. Others attending the meeting were Francis P. Michael, Thomas R. Wir- sing, Jr., Jack Gray, Francis C. Dil- lon, John R. Garrett, and Murray Coulter. Charlie McNulty was in a hospital and could not attend and his brother-in-law, Sam Glenn had just married himself a wife and could not attend. It is planned to extend that area to include Martinsville, Rocky Mount, Christiansburg, Pulaski, Radford and Blacksburg and others.
Mr. Gannaway plans to go to Nor- folk on March 20th to hold a similar

How about it, Norfolk Area Alum- ni, make it a big night for V.E.S.
