The Cycle
(Continued from poge 3, col. 3)
Now all that is lacking is time in which to build and distribute these marvels of science over the earth's surface."
The world, in a few years, was used to the advancement and was thriving luxuriously, with the strength that these inventions were putting forth,
leaving man much leisure time in which to satisfy his desires.
The year is now two thousand plus twenty-one and the world-known ex- plorer, Ed Mason, is reporting to the scientists of the world, "I know it seems rather strange, but I am sure that the animal kingdom is gradually approaching the intelligence of man- kind. The animals that I have en- countered in my trips seem to be able to sense or hear our plans and are evading our traps more and more
often!"
By the year two thousand plus
twenty-three the scientists of the world had certified Ed Mason's state- ments and had even found the cause
of these occurrences. "Gentlemen," exclaimed Professor Eclulstay, "we have found that our machines, which run on power from the air, are con- suming certain minerals which have kept mankind separated from the nnimal world. These two kingdoms have been separated by a partition, much like a wall that separates two rooms. Now this partition is being broken down and animals, because of their superior muscular build, are ap- proaching and even passing the superiority of mankind."
He reported later "mankind is stag- i n g a q a l l a n t b<~ttle f o r c o n t r o l o f the earth but is losing gradually be- cause it has become too lazy with all its machines at its disposal and can- not endure the hardships of nature alone. Now with all of its machines and weapons being destroyed, man- kind is forced to withdraw ond live
a primitive life."
"It is now a strange world," re-
ports one of the humon survivors. "W e are either living os animals used to, in the woods ond forests, or we are living in cages mode by the animals. In reality, we are their pets!''
Animals gradually advanced in their field of knowledge. At first few were able to gain ground, but some were advancing steadily. Eventually, when the year two thousand plus seven, in the animal kingdom, arrived, they

Stray Cat
(Continued from poge 3, Col. I) Killer Bartol" not content to let Mr.
Gannaway be the only hero of the day, made a wild leap for the miser- nblc creature getting only a handful of hair. The frenzied feline scratched ond scrambled up the door and reached the top sill of windows where he clung and yowled his utter dis- pleasure loud and long. The two knights in tweed armor then sat down, blushing-conquered by a cat. Oh, but this cat was no ordinary quad- riped, but a cat of most exceptional rolin to him the knowledqe of this change thousands of years before, ond, all of the records and accounts having been wiped out through the years, they had to struggle through the eons; they had to struggle through primit ive life all over again. So mankind advances again on and on until that fateful day in April in the year two thousand plus seven,
