but tacklin' is funnier.

For three years Joe has blessed (?)
us with his presence on the 160 acres. He is a counselor for the sec- ond year, this time being on the Ho nor Committee. He 's also V eep on the GAA and treasurer of the "V" club. Joe was the mainstay of our football team last year and is a good bet for the all-state squad this year. His genial personality and dry wit make him one of the best
iked boys on the campus. Joe helps keep the "seals" of frigid 3rd West in line. Next year Joe will be happily attending "Carolina U."

TaI has reached the top of the
ladder in his three years at V.E.S. This year he is Head C ounselor, President of the G.A.A. and the "V" club. It would take a book to tell what he does currently, but here goes-he's on the Hop Committee and he's Headwaiter. Ta l has lettered twice in football and once in track and this year he might be a three letter man. Oh yes, and he is hatchet man for W oods Dry Cleaning and Wills-Camp. To top that all off he averages consistently in the high nine- ties and rates high in popularity.

He is vice-president of the "V" club, on the GAA, is Headwaiter and last but certainly not least is president of the senior class. Alex has charge of the younger boys on East short dorm this year. He won his letter
last year on the football squad and is expected to do well this year. Sad will be the day when "Lightnin'" leaves our midst.
