Crazy Mixed Up Kids!
Bio-X-Ray (See Cover Picture)
SylVESter Thrushmooton IX, Esquire, hails from the li I ol' Suthan town of Podunk, Virginia, where he and Thrushmooton VIII are considered persona non grata by the other members of the community. He has excellent family quali. fications for membership in the VES family, Thrushmootons II through VII having been hanged for horse-thievery and general skullduggery. SylVESter is in his 14th year here, and presently holds the record of oldest living undergraduate.
He is a quiet and very likeable fellow, being favored by his friends by being thrice president of the junior class and presently a delegate ex officio to the Trustee meetings. Most students find his pleasant antics delightful, for he has the happy facility of being able to make him invisible, especially when the student body considers the Study Hall lights to have burned too long for decent concentration on the finer things of life. He impresses the faculty very strongly- no master here has refused to comment about VES and express the hope that he should drop dead very suddenly. His female friends deem otherwise and have successfully kept him on the right track. His closest friends are Houck. Sargent and Mohr; he is usually seen fourth from the left wherever the trio goes. Some day he expects to pass one or two subjects and go on to agitate an institution of higher learning. When he does, we will wish him continued success.
Kemp Joseph Houck lives in Lynchburg. Nobody knows how long he has been here, because nobody noticed when he came. He is very smart and frequently gains study out. His school spirit is matched only by those other two boys, Moer and Sargent. "Crazy cat" is a senior this year, and is noted for his wit in the French II course. He is on the Meteor staff also. He tied for "most popular" in a poll held at mid-term with two other well-liked boys, Mher and Sargent. He tries very hord in sports, as Dr. Magill can tell you. In addition, he is one of the best-dressed boys in school. Joe was elected to the big three this year. He is often seen with Mehr and Sarjent.
