F.U.M.A. TOPS V.E.S. IN FIRST MEET OF YEAR
On April 2, the Bishop cindermen hit the track for the first dual meet. With Brent Nosh the only returning lettermon, Mr. Bartol's boys were short on experience. The final score of 84 I/3 to 32 2/3 was not a true evoluotion of the meet. Several boys, taking port in their first meet, did very well. Dovid Connon got a sec- ond in the mile ond Lloyd Hort on tied for second in the pole vault. High point mon for the Bishops was Verne Keefer, who ran a great race in t h e 440 yard dash. V erne, with seven points, was followed closely by Linwood Tyus, who collected six, and George Ross with four.

Although held to but two hits the
Bishops won their fourth straight game of the 1955 season in defeat- ing A. M. A. on o rainy wet field 2-1.
The first Bishop run came when Woolery got on by on error, Cranz singled ond grounded to deep short with Woolery scoring.
A. M. A.'s run come when McAl- lister scored on on infield single.
V. E. S. scored the winning run in the last inning when second baseman Genou mode three stroight errors with pinch runner Cowper scoring.
Both pitchers, Forinholt and Shef-
fer, pitched beautiful games consid-
ering the condition of the field.
