OLE ASTROLOGER
Well, Kats and Kiddies, here I am, oock on the old beaten trail after a hot vacation, and DO I have a lot to tell. T. Bunn, the hottest lover ever ~o hit V. E. S. (INCLUDING last year's "Playboy") dropped his once and only love during the vacation. :sy t~e way, his once and only love
was his first love, and we do mean,
FIRST!) But h e 's b a c k a g a i n with
onother Wilson queen, and I'll give
him three months before he makes
i+ number two. Bunn has become
such an authority that he's giving
advice to the lovelorn Crudup, since the Weasel lost five lovelies in 18
days.
Cruising over the Atlantic, I no-
ticed a tremendous amount of snow over toward Virginia Beoch. A t first thought it was S. Cunningham and you-know-who, but a second glance revealed t h a t t h e snow was a p - proaching blizzard proportions. From under a 37-foot drift popped Homer Rowls. S e e m s h e m e t a g i r l w h o ' s really a doll, at least when she's not ottending school (which she does three-fourths of the time, because she's out to get one of those pink,
lavender, or whatever educations.) Looks as if Annapolis has died and
was on the Duck, atomic subs and all. Pete Wentz, the Roanoke flash, hos been offered a scholarship to Glass, but he's holding out for a secret clause in the contract-some-
thing about living with the coach. Horace still insists t h a t his girls love him, but there's been a notice- oble absence of mail from that direc-
tion.
A mysterious phone call was made by the dog a few days ago, but his mouth is shut about it-there is a strange aroma around his room-we wonder why?
Davidson never gives up, even with H. C. against him.
The latest Three Musketeers ad- venture found "Cool" Titus AND Hobo Farmer beat on the window of the cage while "Dur" Gillespie makes like a bear ...
Langh orne really perked up his ears last week when the Peruvian special arrived, but a second look left him with the idea that "Ab- sence ma!:es the heart grow fonder- for someone else. "
The word is out that "Dub" Tuck and an ancient Queen really had a Virgilina Blast over the holidays, but
THE DECISION
By John Redick
Mavis awoke, got out of bed, and stumbled to a waiting shower. The water felt good on his bare skin, even though it was the same water he had been using for the past eight years. It would return to the filtra- tion plant and be waiting for him again tomorrow. He got dressed and moved about the ship, checking the thousand and one automatic devices that kept him-and the ship-alive. He made an adjustment here, read a dial there, and finally reached the control room, where he sonk into the pilot's chair and looked at the famil- iar board in front of him.
Time from departure: 2920 earth days
Desti nation: Sol 3 ETA: 730 earth days Velocity: 3 C2/ EM
"All is as it should be," he thought. Time from departure: 3590 earth
days
Destination: Sol 3 ETA: 50 earth days Velocity: 3 C2/EM
"All is as it should be," he thought, "but this time it's different. I'm al- most home again." He could feel the built-in mental control against the continual monotony slipping. The sides of the ship seemed to be clos- ing in on him, crushing him . He measured the hypodermic carefully, plunged the needle into his arm, and fell into a deep sleep.

The soft alarm awoke Mavis from
his slumber. He dashed to the con- trol room, sank into the landing chair, and switched on the televisor. Earth filled the screen. Almost over- come with nostalgia, Mavis leaned
back to take in the full beauty of the scene in front of him. The planet glowed like a green jewel against the black velvet background of space.

Quoth one "Jap" Richardson: "I will NEVER tell a girl I love her be- cause that would only be defeating myself, and number two, being in love means that I've got to think as much of someone else as I do of myself." The truth hurts, Jap-why not be man enough to admit it!
Well until next time, guys and dolls, make like a Flash, keep things
cool. and all that jazz
