Promising," says head coach Rock Lee of the 1964 Bishops. With ten returning lettermen, Lee hopes to better the records of the last few seosons.
The single wing formation brought in by Coach Dale Gramley has been di corded for the "T," and with hard- hitting quarterback HAM MYERS, the offense shows sure signs of im- provement. "Myers has shown great odvancement in skill over last year," soys Coach Lee of the returned let- terman. In a recent vote, Myers and Bobby Watts were chosen Co-cap-

tains. Backing Mye rs are juniors HALL WEBB and BRUCE CUN- NINGHAM.
The Bishops boast a strong back- field with senior LAWSON TURNER and junior TIM WOOD. Turner i5 a breakaway threat at right half, while W ood exhibits superior talent in the defensive backfield. Newcomers
VADEN and BILL WATKINS will see action on defense. Newcom ers BILL FARLEY and DAN WHERRY are working hard to fill the gaps left in the lineup when this year's class gra- duates.
Returning letterman HENRY BOW- EN and so phomore B. K. MUNDY will provide the necessary beef for the offensive tackle positions while JIM MORRIS and BARNEY REAMS will handle the defense. EAMES POWERS will also see some de- fensive action. Coach Lee says his tackles are large but need increased agility.
Guards JEP ROSE and GORDON BRANCH look pretty good as start- ers backed up by CALVIN CUN- NINGHAM and MIKE SUDDUTH. Rose and Branch are both returning for the second time to the roster. "Gordo" is expected to have a fine season, having lifted weights since last winter.
