So far this season the V.E.S.
J.V. wrestling team is 3 and 1. The only loss they suffered was from their first match with Blue Ridge in the beginning of the sea- son. The score was 30 to 48. Although wrestlers such as Turner Moore, Daniel Ricken- mann and Robert Simmons began the season with im-
pressive performances, the team as a whole was shy of a victory. However, the team has not lost since the upset, their next match was against Collegiate. The final score was V .E.S. 38-Collegiate 30. Andrew Elliott, Reed
Skaggs, David Frackelton and Troy Ashe had pins. The V.E.S J.V.'s slaughtered L.C.A. 66-6

Deacons
Guards John Foster, Andrew

defending our Prep League Ti- tle.
The VES track team is having a good year thus far. The IJiahop' have competed in four cneets.

This high score was mainly due to forfeits by M.M.A. David Woodwroth had the quickest pin of the day with his opponent only lasting 36 seconds before going
down for the pin. Tim Jones had also had an impressive pin and remained undefeated. V.E.S. in their most recent match won 51
to 24. David Woodworth, Pat Warner and David Fracklelon had the outstanding per-
formances for the day. The record to date is 5 to 1. It looks like another outstanding season for the V.E.S. varsity wrestling team.
W eatherbee,
Bragg and Turner Moore have had outstanding season and have given the Bishops a good start.

Last week Mr. Garmey talked in chapel about how we the stu- dents need to let each other ex-
press our individuality instead of always putting each other down. I know that I have been guilty of
pu~downs at times, but what Mr. Garmey had to say really hit home with me. I hope that some
other students feel the same way
that I do because until we can gl't our attitudes straight V.E.S. will never pull together as a com- munity. I would like It very much
