With the emphasis less on winning and more on giving everyone as much game time as possible, Deacon Soccer never con- sidered its wonjlost statistics as an indi- cation of the season. Our record was 0 wins, 6 losses, and l tie. Three of the games were decided by one goal, and there were two overtime games played. Losing to Blue Ridge 0-6 in our first game and then losing to them l-3 in our last game is a good in- dication as to how well the deacon im- proved over the season. The team devel- oped thier skills and pride nicely, and they had a lot of fun in the process.
