Before Jesus left this planet to resume his place beside His Father, He left his followers with an
invitation to follow Him by making disciples of all nations. Throughout the past 2,000 years,
followers have taken that call seriously by sharing the Gospel, making disciples, and passing
the baton to the next generation. Here we are in the year 2021 and the next generation is
looking for something greater than our culture has to offer—they want purpose…they want to
make the world a better place! Research has shown that the best place for evangelism in our
culture today is with kids and students. That is why we at Hebron Christian Academy seek to
pour into the next generation, so that they will know the Gospel, become disciples, and pass

the baton to the generation after them. Our world is in desperate need of the answers only
Christ can provide. It is our mandate to invest in the next generation, so the gospel message
continues.

Q1: How do you see God’s fame and glory (Psalm 145:6-7) connected with pouring into

the next generation?
Q2: What do you want your children to know spiritually before they leave this earth?
Q3: Whose responsibility is it to invest in the next generation?

APPLY

What would happen if the next generation became totally committed to the call of
Christ on their lives? Take time today to pray deliberately for the “call of God” on your
children or grandchildren. Make this God-Sized prayer a daily prayer. Talk openly to
your kids about your desire to see them follow God with every step of their lives. Watch

how God will use this deliberate approach to praying for the next generation.
