                                  çurriculum
Our core curriculum of arts, sciences, and humanities, along with our extracurricular offerings, develops in our students an aesthetic appre- ciation for and understanding of the world. It teaches boys to express themselves clearly, independently, and confidently, and inspires the empathy and compassion that will compel them to act in service to others. To modernize and reinvigorate that core liberal arts curriculum, we will weave classes and experiences related to the arts and sciences into the fabric of our core curriculum so that every student leaves St. Albans with a greater appreciation of beauty, a deeper experience with the creative process, and an increased understanding of computer science, data science, and engineering, and their application to modern problem solving. We will nurture the creativity of St. Albans boys in the arts and sciences so they can envision what has not been done before and make it a reality, and we will nurture the capabilities students need to work effectively with one another — to listen carefully, converse openly, and design creatively.
“Robotics mimics the real world very well, in that you cannot just win on your own. You have to be able to interact and work with other people, some of whom you have just met. If something doesn’t work, you have to be creative and keep trying to find a solution, which provides valuable life lessons.”
