2015 National Merit Semifinalists Girl Scout Gold Award
Éile Woeltje ’16 is making kids
around St. Louis “beary” happy
these days! This past summer,
Éile earned the Girl Scout Gold
Award – the highest achieve-
ment in Girl Scouting. And
through the award’s commu-
nity project requirement, she
has placed 3,199 bears into the
hands of foster, adopted, un-
derprivileged and neglected children.
Bizzy Bears, as the project is better
known, is based on Éile’s personal phi-
losophy, “Every child deserves a soft,
cuddly toy to hold onto in times of
need.” Over the past two years and 213
