Dear Friends,

I hope that your summer has been relaxing and rejuvenating! At Cor Jesu, it has been quite exciting,
as we prepare the new gym, student commons and classrooms for our Liturgy of Thanksgiving and
Dedication on Sunday, August 6 at 10:00 a.m. We are most grateful that Archbishop Carlson will
celebrate the mass and dedication with us. Hopefully, all of you have received the invitation to the
special event by now. If you plan on attending, please let us know by emailing cjevents@corjesu.org
with the number of people who will be attending from your family. We look very forward to celebrating
this major accomplishment in CJ’s history with you, before classes begin on August 14.

As you read through this issue of Spirit, you may notice that it focuses on alumnae and our recent
graduates. As we celebrated the achievements of the Class of 2017 and recognized our alumnae who
celebrated their class reunions this year, my heart was filled with gratitude for the gift of each woman
who calls Cor Jesu her alma mater. Without you, the school and charism would not be what it is today.
I hope that all of you know what a significant piece of the Cor Jesu mosaic you are in creating the whole
5 23 8 community – being one in the love of the heart of Christ.

Also with this mailing, you will find the Capital Campaign Donor Report. Please peruse the pages of the
2,000-plus campaign donors. We would not have been able to build the new addition without such loyal
departments & features support from the Cor Jesu community. There is so much to be grateful for!
