Battle of Stars Hollow’s
Star-Crossed Lovers

Dean Forester is tall, athletic, caring, and seemingly is a great match for the intel-
ligent and determined Rory Gilmore. The two are infatuated with each other and
quickly become Star’s Hollow’s most adored couple. Then, along comes Jess Maria-
no, the nephew of Luke Danes. His punk rock aura, dark features, and overall charm
intrigue Rory. Though she initially loathes Jess because of his bad boy attitude, he
eventually finds a place in Rory’s heart. With both boys in her life, she finds that she
needs to make a choice. Rory makes this decision using none other than a classic
Gilmore Girls pro and con list. I decided to make one as well, comparing the pros
and cons of Dean and Jess.
