On Saturday, September 28th, Dr. J ett briefly announclli to the boys that they were under quarantine tmtil th epidemic of Spanish "flu" was over in J_,ynohburg.
On Tuesday, October 8th, the epidemic became so wide spread tha~ it. was decided to close se:hool until tho diseas- hnd run its course.
We are glad to report that out of over thirty cases thPrt were no fat.al ones at V. E. S.
On Tuesday, November 5th, school was reopened. 0: course, we were all glad to get back to our belovell lesson after a most enjoyable period of rest.

On the 11th month, 11th clay, 11th hour, French tiro the German representatives signed the Peace armistice. 11 was a great day in the history of V. E. S., as well as tbr world, for all demerits were removed, and all boys allowed tr go to tow11 to celebrate the C\·ent.
