The game with Lynchburg Iligh School on :May 21st was the end of one of the most succc::;sfu1 seasons which V. E. S. has ever had. We lost but one game more than the number we won, improving greatly over last year's standing. The hitting of the team showed a very marked improvement, while the pitching was of a much higher order.
Since a large part of this season's letter-men will be back next year, it is hoped that Y. E. S. will have even a better and more successful season than the past one. The "Y" has been awarded to the following baseball men: Banks, Bncknm·, Barber, Brown, Humphries, IIudnnll, J.cc, Loth, and Lynch, manager's monogram to R. Rogers.
•Hit for Lynch in the 9th.
