of 26 to 15. Our usual style of play in the first half was apparent, for we seemed unable to find the basket and as a result the end of the half found us trailing the cadets by three points. Score, 9 to 6.
At the beginning of the next period, however, the team got together and in a short while we were registering goals with consistent frequency. We overcame Shenandoah's lead and then gradually crept away from them. 20 points by V. E. S. to 6 for S. V. A. was the tale told in this final period of the contest. On the whole the game was very interesting and provided many thrills. Macaulay for S. V. A., and :Mead for V. E. S. were the bright lights in the performance.

On January 27th we met the Episcopal High School tos- sers on OUl' floor and we were defeated by them ao-1-1- in a' game that was replete with thrills and fraught with excite- ment from start to finish. The entire game was a mad rush, with each team putting into play its every energy.
