Mr. W. Freeman Dance, Jr., of the Fireman 's Fund Insurance Company, was advanced to the position of agency superintendent in the com- pany's Southern department. He moved from Richmond, Virginia, in September, to take over the position.
1922
The Reverend Henry Johnston 1s now the first minister to the new St. Matthews Church in Richmond, Va. Mr. Johnston, a native of Tarboro, went to his present post from Oxford, N. C., where he served for seven
years as rector of St. Stephen's Church there.
1925
Mr. Sheppard Strudwick appeared in the movie, "Joan of Arc," in the part of Joan's baliff in the court trial at Rouen. He also appears currently
Richmond, the Broadway "Rockets." The Rockets have had a fair season, and will play the Fredricksburg " Reb- els" on December 19.
1940
Mr. John T. Camblos emerged vic- tor, along with Mr. M. J. Corse of Jacksonville, Fla., in a moot court trial at the University of Virginia, of seniors, and as winner, will have his name carved in the Moot Court Room.
1943
Mr. and Mrs.
nounced the marriage of their daugh- ter, Jane, to Mr. John S. Waller, alumnus of V. E. S., on November 24 in Germantown, Philadelphia.
1947
Mr. and Mrs. L. T. Hartsell, Jr., of Concord, N. C., announce the mar- riage of their daughter, Lena Heath, to Mr. Jacob E. Wiggins, Jr., alum- nus of V. E. S., on December 18.

Recently, Dr. Robert Daniel was
chairman a t Sewanee Alumni, a t Knoxville, and was elected president of the newly formed chapter of Knox- ville alumni. Dr. Daniel is a member of the faculty at the University of Tennessee.
1937
Mr. William Joslin, of Raleigh, has entered into the law profession. He opened his offices on November 15, in Raleigh, North Carolina.
